This year marks fifty years since hawk counting began here at the Greenwich Audubon Center and you are invited to come celebrate this milestone with all of us! Come visit our Quaker Ridge Hawk Watch between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to learn about the spectacle of hawk migration and help our hawk watchers spot migrating hawks, eagles, falcons and vultures overhead.

To give you a special opportunity to see these amazing birds up close, we are welcoming our friends from Christine’s Critters who will present two live raptor shows at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on our Hawk Watch Lawn. Raptor rehabilitators Christine & Betsy Peyreigne will be bringing an incredible cast of hawks, falcons, eagles and owls to share the importance of these beautiful birds in our ecosystems. You will get to meet raptors big and small from Higgins the tiny Northern Saw-Whet Owl, a species now famous for being discovered in the Rockefeller Center tree, to Aurora the Bald Eagle with her seven-foot wingspan!

This event will happen rain or shine. In the event of rain these shows will be held in our pavilion tent.

Attendees can sign up for ONE of the two raptor program times at either 11 a.m. or 1 p.m. and masks are required to be worn by all attendees.
