Have you ever wondered what birds are visiting your bird feeders or how to attract certain species of birds where you live? Join Bird Education Specialist Ryan MacLean for this virtual program to learn about the life histories and identification of our winter bird species! You will also learn about the types of food and feeders that best support their needs.
We'll also share how to participate in Project FeederWatch—a winter-long community science survey of birds that visit feeders in backyards, parks, offices, and other areas. You can participate by counting the birds you see and submitting them to the Project FeederWatch website. This is a fun activity to do with family or friends! We will also provide recommendations for bird identification resources and information on how you can take part in Project FeederWatch. All levels of bird identification experience are welcome!
