Join us as we explore one of Stamford's best coastal birding locations. Cove Island Park has been designated a state Important Bird Area for its variety of coastal, thicket and woodland habitat which makes it home to an incredible variety of both resident and migrant bird species. The coast of Long Island Sound provides wintering grounds for ducks, loons and grebes while the park's bird sanctuary offers meadow, thicket and woodland habitats perfect for Sparrows, Warblers and other songbirds as they journey south. Binoculars will be available for anyone who needs them.
