Have you ever wanted where to find unusual winter birds that are known to pass through our region, including snowy owls, waterfowl, loons and snow buntings? Join the Greenwich Audubon Center for this virtual program to learn about the life histories of winter birds and where to look for them in winter.
Our winter birds include a combination of yearlong residents and also migratory species that visit us during these winter months. We will discuss when and where to look for different winter birds in various local habitats, and what birds to look for in your backyards, local parks, offices, and other areas. We will also provide recommendations for how to support birds with feeders and native plants that provide vital food sources and shelter for them throughout the winter.
